If you find yourself in a time crunch and are concerned over what will give you the most bang for your buck you should always opt for doing something that is strength based over traditional "cardio."
Strength training will give more of a boost to your metabolism, will boost it for longer, and elevates more of the necessary good hormones (testosterone, growth hormone) that you want if your goal is body fat reduction. The bonus - by setting up a strength based "circuit" or keeping your rest periods short you can get strong and get all the benefits associated with traditional forms of junk exercise....sorry cardio. Oops. Lift on!
